Top 50 Australian Food Blogs

Top 50 Aussie Food Blogs

I started this list back in February 2009 with the hope of adding more meaning and recognition behind publishing a top Australian food blog. Many are unaware of the number of hours that goes into producing one blog post, let alone maintaining the interest of readers over several years.

The system I've used looks at more than just audience numbers and hopefully gives an almost accurate measure of the blog's popularity. The total score is a calculated by multiplying a blog's Google Page Rank, with its number of Google Back Links and its number of Technorati Blog Reactions and then I add on the unique number of Twitter followers (that is, followers minus following).

I'm recognising Twitter as an extention of the blog, as many Aussie food bloggers are active micro-bloggers.

My inner-geek loves tracking how the Australian food blogging scene is growing and changing... so I hope you will join me in congratulating these fabulous foodies.
